Wash A Playset

Its that time of the year to start pressure washing in Macon, Ga. But what about our kids playset? In this post I will show you step by step how to wash a playset. The weather is nice and your kids are ready to enjoy the outdoors, but their playset is dirty. After sitting over the winter months it may be covered with dirt dobbers, spider webs and sometimes wasp nests. These insects along with the dirt and other outdoor debris need to be removed. To get it clean, you will need to pressure wash the playset. Below is a list of instructions on how to pressure wash a playset. To get started, you will need to apply a good cleaning detergent.

Applying The Detergent

To get the best cleaning results Aspen Power Washing use a house wash detergent or a mild all purpose cleaner to clean the playset. There are two ways you can apply the detergent, one is with our soft wash system and the other is by using the pressure washers detergent applicator.

Using Our Soft Wash

When using our soft wash system, the detergent is mixed in our on board mixing tank. After the detergent is mixed it is applied to the playset with our 12 volt low pressure system. This process covers the entire playset with a even coat of detergent.

Using The Pressure Washer

If you are using the pressure washer to apply the cleaning solution, poor the cleaner into the soap reservoir on the pressure washer or use the soap injector hose. After adding the soap, change the nozzle on the pressure washing wand to the black soaping nozzle. The soaping nozzle will allow you to apply soap with the spray nozzle. After the soap is applied, switch to the green rinse nozzle to rinse.

Rinsing The Playset

Rinse the cleaning solution away from the playset, using the green nozzle (25 degree) nozzle. This nozzle has a wide spray pattern and is less aggressive when cleaning wood. Always start rinsing at the top and work your way down to the bottom. Be sure to clean underneath boards and in corners, the places where dirt dobbers, spider webs and wasp nest would likely be. After rinsing the playset, let it dry completely before allowing children to play on it.
